Loop Chomp x Gutter Bandits: Meet Gus, Our First Sponsor
News from the dev · October 2026
Loop Chomp has its first sponsor: Gutter Bandits, the roofing and gutter crew from Millstone Township, New Jersey. Their mascot, Gus Gutterson, is now a chomper you can play as, with a sunset arena and a snack set built around their world. The whole pack is free for every player, and it changes nothing about how the game plays.
Loop Chomp is a one person project, and every player who shows up keeps it going. When a local business asked to be part of it, I wanted the result to feel like something you would actually want to wear on the ring, not an ad stuck to the side of the screen. So we built a pack around their mascot and gave it away.
What is in the pack
Gus, the chomper. Gus Gutterson is the real Gutter Bandits mascot, a raccoon in a GB hat with a bandit mask, a red bandana and a ringed tail that sways while you play. He chomps like every other chomper and wears it better.
Bandit Sunset, the arena. A sunset over the mesas with a row of rooftops below the ring, a gutter and downspout on every roof, and autumn leaves blowing across the screen. There is a 3D version of it too, rolling out alongside the other 3D arenas.
Gutter Gunk, the snack set. Everything that ends up in a gutter, turned into snacks: maple leaves, acorns, pinecones, rain drops, a lost tennis ball, and a golden acorn when you are lucky.
How to get it
Open Loop Chomp at loopchomp.com, go to the Store and open Packs. The Gutter Bandits pack sits at the front, marked free. One tap claims it and puts it on. If you have played before, a welcome card may meet you on the home screen that does the same thing in one tap, then drops you straight into a run as Gus.
The pack is cosmetic. Gus does not make the bars slower or the snacks worth more, so the boards stay fair whether you wear him or not. Right now the pack is in the browser version; the store apps will get it in a later update.
Who Gutter Bandits are
Gutter Bandits is a roofing and gutter company based in Millstone Township, New Jersey, run by two local guys with more than ten years in the trade. They cover Monmouth, Middlesex and Ocean counties: roof installs, replacements and storm repairs, seamless aluminum gutters, gutter guards, gutter cleaning, fascia and soffit, and window cleaning and soft washing. They are licensed and insured, estimates are free, and their line says it best: You Stay Grounded. We Hit The Roof.
If your gutters are overflowing or your roof took a beating this fall, you can find them at gutterbanditsllc.com.
Why a local sponsor
Loop Chomp is free, and I want it to stay that way. A sponsor that gives players something they actually want, and asks for nothing in return, is the best version of that I can think of. It also felt right that the first one is a New Jersey business with a mascot good enough to be a character. Gus fits the ring like he was made for it.
If you run a business and want your own mascot, arena or snack set in the game, reach out through the support page. Same rules apply: free for players, cosmetic only, and it has to be fun to play.
