How to Play Loop Chomp

The full guide · updated September 2026

Loop Chomp is a free one-tap arcade game that runs in any browser with no download, install or account. A chomper laps a ring eating snacks while spike bars park over the track; one tap flips direction. Modes: Endless, Hardcore, Daily Run, a 30-floor Tower and Risk Run. Daily and weekly pots pay the top 15 and top 25 on the Classic board. Progress saves to the cloud automatically.

Controls

On phones and tablets, tap anywhere to flip direction. On desktop, click or press Space or the arrow keys to flip, and use keyboard hotkeys for items: A for Shield, S for Slow-mo, D for Magnet, matching the buttons left to right. No setup, the keys just work.

The basics

Snacks spawn on the ring. Eat them for points. Spike bars slide in from the top and bottom of the screen and park over the track. If you run into the dangerous edge of a bar, the run ends. Tap to reverse direction and thread the gaps. Runs get faster and busier the longer you survive, and the soundtrack climbs through six intensity tiers as your score grows.

Game modes

Endless is the main mode. One run, one score, climb the daily and all-time leaderboards.

The Classic pot is how daily and weekly Classic prizes work. The game funds it: it starts at 600 coins a day (3,000 a week) and every run anyone plays, in any mode, adds 3 coins (4 for the week), up to 10,000 a day and 30,000 a week. At the reset, the top 15 on the Classic board split the daily pot and the top 25 split the weekly one: 29% to first, 17% to second, 11% to third, and every seat after that pays a little less than the one above it, so a place higher is always worth something. You never stake anything. Play, and the number goes up.

Hardcore strips away shields and boosts and runs at higher speed. Raw skill only, with its own leaderboard. It is open to everyone from the start.

Daily Run gives everyone the same seeded run each day. One board, level playing field, resets at midnight UTC.

The Tower is the level mode: 30 floors across three biomes, and every floor is the same board for every player. Each floor pays coins on first clear, the finale of each biome awards an exclusive creature, floors 5, 15 and 25 award tower-only cosmetics, and clearing floor 30 earns the Supernova death effect that cannot be bought. The earlier 60 mission campaign was retired in August 2026; players who earned its rewards keep them.

Risk Run is an optional crash-style challenge mode where you stake free in-game coins on a hands-off run. The longer the run survives, the higher the multiplier climbs. To be clear: no real money is ever involved, coins cannot be cashed out, and the game warns you twice before any staked run.

Scoring and the multiplier

Completing quests raises your quest level, and every level adds to a permanent score multiplier that applies in Endless and Daily runs. Your quest level never caps or resets, so the grind always counts; the multiplier itself tops out at 4x at quest level 60, which is also where the Chomp Pass reward track ends. Hardcore and Risk Run use raw score only. Public leaderboards let you rank by Final Score or by Base Score, so pure survival skill is always visible too.

Daily streaks

Play at least one run a day to build your streak, shown as the flame at the top of the home screen. Milestones at 3, 7, 14 and 30 days pay coins, and 30 days earns the exclusive Blaze Trail. Miss a day? One automatic save per calendar month covers it.

Coins, characters and style

Every run earns coins based on your base score. Spend them on characters with small coin perks, arenas that completely reskin the ring, trails, death effects, snack sets and soundtracks. Star Levels let you prestige characters you love for glow effects, sparkles and a crown. Nothing in the store affects difficulty or score. Cosmetic only, always.

Arcade Tickets and real merch

Tickets are earned by playing, full stop. They cannot be bought, traded or wagered. Qualified runs, daily grinder podiums and lifetime milestones pay tickets you can redeem at fixed prices for cosmetics and real merchandise: stickers, an enamel pin, a bottle, a hat and a hoodie. No raffles and no luck involved. You earn the thing itself.

Saving your progress

Progress saves to your device and syncs to the cloud automatically under an anonymous account. Linking an email in Settings is optional but recommended. On a new phone or computer, enter the same email in Settings and tap the sign-in link: everything comes across in one go. A linked email is also required to redeem physical merch.

Tips from the top of the leaderboard

Watch the bar that is about to land, not the one you are under. Flipping early beats flipping late. Golden snacks are worth a detour, and in the Tower every floor is a fixed board you can learn. The pace ramps with time, not score, so a slow careful start costs nothing. And when the soundtrack shifts up a tier, that is a score milestone: a good moment to bank a screenshot for the group chat.
